Katie Murphy is a photographer and designer located in Indianapolis, Indiana. After receiving a BFA in Fine Art Photography from Indiana University's Herron School of Art in1995, Murphy became the staff photographer for Indianapolis' NUVO Newsweekly. In 1996 she began a 3-year adventure documenting and posting stories to the internet about the Tibetan Independence Movement. Photography from this work has been published and exhibited across North America. Additionally, Murphy has long maintained a visual fascination with music and live performance and continues to lend her skill to the promotion and advancement of musicians and their music.
